They're additive, not alternative
Each package builds on the one before it, nothing is swapped out as you move up. Gold banks cord blood. Diamond banks that same cord blood plus cord tissue. Platinum adds placental cells on top of both. Royal adds amniotic membrane on top of all three. Choosing a higher package never means banking less of anything; it means also banking one more tissue type.
Gold, cord blood
Gold banks hematopoietic stem cells (HSCs) from cord blood, the cell type behind standard, non-experimental transplants for roughly 80 blood cancers, genetic blood disorders, and immune deficiencies. This is the foundation every other package is built on, and the only tissue type that can be banked from cord blood itself.
Diamond - + cord tissue
Diamond adds cord tissue to Gold's cord blood. Cord tissue is where mesenchymal stem cells (MSCs) come from, a different cell type from HSCs, studied for its capacity to form bone, cartilage, and fat lineages, and for immunomodulatory signaling. Cord tissue can only be collected at the moment of birth alongside cord blood; there's no way to add it later, which is why this choice has to be made before delivery.
Platinum - + placenta
Platinum adds placental cells on top of Diamond's cord blood and cord tissue. The placenta is collected in the same delivery-room procedure, at no additional risk to mother or baby, and is processed and vaulted alongside the rest of the sample.
Royal, full reserve
Royal is our most complete package: cord blood, cord tissue, placenta, and amniotic membrane together. It's the package for families who want to keep every option available from birth open, without a future decision about whether to have banked more.
What doesn't change between packages
Every package - Gold through Royal, includes the same collection kit dispatch, delivery-room courier, cold-chain transport, and vapor-phase vaulting in our MOH-licensed Muscat lab. The tissue types banked differ; the chain of custody and storage standard doesn't.
