Every stage of the chain of custody is logged, monitored, and reviewable, because the families trusting us with this decision deserve nothing less.

The 80+ figure reflects standard hematopoietic stem cell transplant therapies per the Parent's Guide to Cord Blood Foundation, most are individually rare, and any one child's lifetime likelihood of needing a transplant is low.

Stage 01-05 · Chain of custody

Everything cools on the way down.

From body temperature to vapor-phase nitrogen, each stage is logged and temperature-verified. Nothing is left to assumption.

  1. A sterile, pre-labeled collection kit reaches your hospital or birth center ahead of your due date, with chain-of-custody documentation sealed inside.

  2. Once the cord is clamped and cut, a trained specialist collects the remaining cord blood and tissue in a few minutes. It is non-invasive, and designed to work alongside your birth plan.

  3. A dedicated courier carries the sample in temperature-logged transport: a continuous record from delivery room to laboratory bench.

  4. Cells are separated, assessed for viability, and staged for controlled-rate freezing with cryoprotectant.

SPEC·001 HSC
Hematopoietic stem cells
Cord blood is rich in hematopoietic stem cells (HSCs), which regenerate blood and immune cells. HSC transplants are a standard, non-experimental treatment for roughly 80 blood cancers, genetic blood disorders, and immune deficiencies, most individually rare, and not a guarantee any one child will need one.
Sources 1-2
SPEC·002 MSC
Mesenchymal stem cells
MSCs are multipotent cells studied for their capacity to form bone, cartilage and fat lineages, and for their immunomodulatory signaling. This describes their studied biology, not a proven clinical treatment for aging or any specific disease.
Sources 3-4
SPEC·003 Fibroblast
Dermal & structural repair
Fibroblasts synthesize collagen and extracellular matrix, and are widely used in dermal and connective-tissue research.
Sources 5-8
SPEC·004 Cryobiology
Vapor-phase preservation
Controlled-rate freezing with cryoprotectant minimizes ice-crystal formation, supporting long-term viability on thaw. This describes the general cryobiology mechanism; specific viability figures vary by cell type and are not quoted here.

Who owns the material
Rights are held for your child and documented in your banking agreement. Control passes to them at the age set out in that agreement.
If power fails
Vapor-phase nitrogen holds passively without electricity, backed by generators and 24/7 monitoring.
Regulatory standing
Licensed by the Ministry of Health, Sultanate of Oman: the first and only private cord blood bank in the country to hold this license.
On viability
No method guarantees indefinite viability. We share known research and retention benchmarks, and never a blanket promise.

Before you commit, the questions that matter.

Rights are held for your child under the terms of your banking agreement, with control passing to them at the age set out in that agreement. Any transfer of authorization before then is a written process, not a verbal one.

Collection happens only after the cord is clamped and cut, takes a few minutes, and is described by cord-blood banks generally as compatible with delayed cord clamping and most birth plans, including cesarean delivery. Confirm the specifics with your own obstetric team.

Vaults use vapor-phase nitrogen with passive cooling redundancy, not solely electrical refrigeration, plus generator backup and 24/7 monitoring across independent facilities.

We are licensed by the Ministry of Health, Sultanate of Oman, and we are the first and only private cord blood bank in Oman to hold this license.

No storage method guarantees indefinite viability. We disclose known viability research and retention benchmarks during consultation, not as a blanket promise.
